Our bolga baskets are handmade in farming villages in the Bolgatanga, Upper East Region. The northern part of Ghana. Bolga is best known for the weaving of straw baskets.
They are woven from durable elephant grass. Each purchase helps provide the farmers and weavers in the region with a sustainable way of living. We love seeing our designs come to life through the skill of our artisans.
Leather color on the handles may vary.

The dyes are primarily plant dyes such as sorghum
The average time to weave a basket is 3 days
Care instructions: Sprinkle or dip in warm water to reshape. Allow to dry thoroughly.
